Pastice ( Albanian traditional food )


Hello, again 😍
My recipe today is inspired by my last vacation in Albania.
 I want to give you a little taste of the food with which I grew up.

 Ingredients 
  1. 300g Pasta 
  2. 3 Tomatoes 
  3. 1 onion 
  4. 1 carrot 
  5. 4 eggs 
  6. 250g minced meat 
  7. 500ml Milk 
  8. 100g Grana Padana 
  9. Salt, Pepper, Olive Oil 

Preparation 
  • Start with chopping the onion and fry it in a heating pan with olive oil until they are caramelized.
  • After that, add minced meat, carrot, and chopped tomatoes, salt, and pepper and cook them until they are ready. 
  • During the time that you prepare the sauce, In a stew-pot, boil water with salt and add the pasta. Set to boil them for max 5min. 
  • In a bowl, add the eggs and milk and whisk them together until you have a homogenous mass. 
  • After you have everything ready start with the casserole. Add the first layer with pasta, the second layer with sauce, the third layer again with pasta and in the end, add the homogenous mass and in the top, sprinkle some Grana Padana. 
  • Put the casserole in a preheated oven for 25min in 240°C
